Our Genealogy Research Service has reopened in the Glasnevin Cemetery Visitor Centre. We are currently open Wednesday - Friday, between 10am and 5pm.
The well-being of our staff and visitors is our priority and, in line with government guidance, we request that face coverings are worn and social distancing is exercised wherever possible when you are visiting our Genealogy Research Service.
We offer an in-person research service at Experience Glasnevin. We can help you both with refining your search criteria and guiding you through our online search facility. Alternatively, our staff will perform the search for you, using a combination of our digitised records and archive registers. Retrieved records are published directly within the search history associated with your registered account, so all you have to do is sign in and review your search history. Note that additional fees may apply but you will be advised of these fees upon reviewing your requests.
Do you want to get started on your family tree, but don’t know where to start? Are you in the process of piecing the history of your ancestors together and need a little guidance on some best practice? Our Family History Workshops are the perfect place to do just that.
Genealogy events centre around the burial records of Glasnevin Cemetery which detail each and every person who has been buried here since 1832. During a workshop you will learn the following:
Details of upcoming workshops and events are posted here throughout the year. To keep up to date, subscribe to our mailing list.
