Our 1916 Rising Tour tells the story of the dramatic events of the 1916 Easter Rising, during which Irish history was changed forever. Join us on a guided tour of Glasnevin Cemetery, and visit the final resting place of combatants and civilians who were involved in, and affected by, the Easter Rising.
The 1916 Rising Tour will take place on Friday April 18th, Saturday April 19th, Sunday April 20th, and Monday April 21st at 1 PM. The tour will end with the re-enactment of Patrick Pearse's oration at the funeral of Jeremiah O'Donovan Rossa in 1915.
Ticket Information
- Persons with a disability are entitled to one free companion ticket. To request this, please contact the Visitor Centre by email at museum@dctrust.ie or by phone on (01) 882 6550.
- Family tickets include admission for up to 2 adults and 2 concession ticket holders.
- Senior tickets are available to those aged 60 and over.
- Children's tickets are valid for children up to 16 years of age
- Student tickets are available to second and third-level students with a valid student ID.
General Information
- Guided Tours last approximately 90 minutes / Tower climbs can take up to 30 minutes.
- Wheelchair accessibility: The Visitor Centre is fully wheelchair accessible.
- The guided tours can also be made wheelchair accessible.
- Please advise your guide on the day if you are not comfortable climbing stairs.
- Drop off area: A drop off area is available in front located directly outside of the Visitor Centre.
